One of my favorite Vietnamese traditions is the lighting of white paper lanterns and raising them into the night sky after a wedding. Not only is it good fun for the guests (fire is always fun!), but its a beautiful moment with some rich symbolism for the newlyweds. We always recommend a lantern ceremony to our clients who come to Vietnam for a destination wedding, as its particularly good fun for wedding parties looking to add some local flavour to the proceedings.
